Why not rent your own apple tree

Rent an apple tree is a great new way and twist on Pick Your Own. It allows you to rent a single tree for a growing season (March to October).

When you rent a tree, you will get sent a certificate in the post, which details the variety of apple tree you have chosen and also its unique number. Following this, we will send you email updates as the season starts to take shape, as no two seasons are the same. You can then come and visit your tree when it is in blossom (why not bring a picnic) and then again during our opening hours through PYO season (Mid-June) and at harvest, so you can harvest your own crop when they are ready.

We will manage your tree to the same high standards, as all of our other trees.
Why not check out our events page and book a date to juice your apples (dates put up in June 2019)

You could always gift someone an apple tree

Terms and Conditions:
Rental is for only 1 season (the season runs from March to October).

Visiting dates are restricted to Blossom and harvesting dates which will be advised to you via the email address that you register with us – if you want information sent to a different address then please make sure we are informed and have sent an acknowledgement back to you.  You are not permitted to access the farm outside of designated visiting periods or when the farm is open for PYO, which will be advised via email. The restriction is to allow us the ability to manage the whole farm and for insurance purposes.

Any tree not cleared within the harvesting dates will be harvested by us the day after this period has expired to avoid fruit going to waste.

We cannot guarantee the size of crop you will have, as the harvest per tree can vary so greatly. We had one tree in 2018 harvest that was over 220 kilos and another had 30 kilos. If for any reason there are no apples to harvest (a very rare occurrence), we will try and find another apple tree. If we cant find another suitable tree we will roll the offer to the next year or offer another experience but will endeavor to find a solution together.

Your tree is yours for the season and thus whatever fruit it produces.  All fruit  trees tend to crop in cycles, so no two years are the same. The weather is unpredictable. For esxample, hail can damage apple crops but again this doesn’t necessarily impact the great taste.

Please refrain from picking anyone else’s tree – you wouldn’t want that to happen to your own.  If you require more fruit please ask a member of staff

We are currently unable to supply containers to pick into, so please make sure you bring your own.

You will get notification of your unique tree number and we will keep a record in case you lose it so you will still be able to find your tree.  We would ask in that case that you bring some form of I.D. along with you.
You are asked not to wander throughout the farm but to stick to areas which will be indicated on your arrival – this is as much for safety as any other reason.  Also please note the ground on a farm is not even and flat so please take extra care when walking about. You enter the farm at your own risk.

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Regulations Act (2000) we operate a 7 day ‘cooling-off’ period whereby for the 7 days immediately following the date of your purchase, you are entitled to a full refund.

Last certificate posting date for Christmas: 20th December, so orders need to be in by 19th. Otherwise we can send you a printable version by email
